BUSINESS FOUNDATION BY SIXTY8 KICKSTART

Before we build the business online, let’s make sure the business itself is ready.

Business Foundation helps separate the company from the personal accounts, informal setup, scattered records, and digital assets that often follow an idea in its earliest stages.

WHAT BUSINESS FOUNDATION INCLUDES

We are not just checking boxes. We are organizing the business behind the work.

The purpose of Business Foundation is to create practical separation between the business, the owner, and the digital assets that will support the company as it grows.

02 EIN ASSISTANCE

Create the business tax identity.

We help organize and complete the administrative workflow needed to obtain the federal tax identity used by the business.

  • EIN workflow assistance
  • Required information preparation
  • Document organization
  • Official confirmation records
OUTCOME The business has its own federal identity.
03 BUSINESS RECORDS

Keep the important business records together.

Core company information should not live across personal inboxes, downloads folders, screenshots, and forgotten accounts.

  • Formation document organization
  • EIN documentation
  • Ownership and company records
  • Digital asset reference information
OUTCOME The business knows where its important records are.
04 DOMAIN FOUNDATION

Give the business its own digital address.

We help establish the domain as a business-controlled asset instead of something casually registered under a personal account and forgotten later.

  • Domain registration foundation
  • Ownership and account organization
  • DNS readiness
  • Future website and email preparation
OUTCOME The business controls the address its digital presence will use.
05 PROFESSIONAL EMAIL

Separate business communication from personal communication.

Business email creates a cleaner boundary between the company and the individual while giving customers, vendors, and future team members a professional way to communicate.

  • Business email setup
  • Domain-based email configuration
  • Primary business mailbox foundation
  • Basic account organization
OUTCOME Business communication begins belonging to the business.
THE POINT The goal is not paperwork for the sake of paperwork.

The goal is to make sure the business can own what we build next— the domain, the email, the website, the systems, and the records that support them.

IMPORTANT

Sixty8 provides administrative, organizational, and technical assistance. Business structure, legal, accounting, and tax decisions should be reviewed with the appropriate licensed professional when needed.

WHY SEPARATION MATTERS

Personal accounts are convenient. Until the business starts depending on them.

A business can begin casually. That does not mean the systems around it should stay casual forever. As the business becomes more real, the accounts, records, communication, and digital assets should begin belonging to the business too.

THE RISK If everything lives under one person, the business has no real separation.

That becomes a problem when the company needs to grow, add people, change vendors, transfer access, or simply prove what it owns.

01 IDENTITY

The business should have its own identity.

Entity records, EIN documentation, and core business information should be organized separately from personal records.

WHY IT MATTERS Business activity is easier to identify, document, and manage.
02 COMMUNICATION

The business should not depend on your personal inbox.

Customers, vendors, and future team members should be able to communicate with the company through business-controlled email.

WHY IT MATTERS Business communication can continue without living inside one person’s account.
03 OWNERSHIP

The business should control the assets it depends on.

Domains, hosting, software accounts, websites, and future systems should be organized so ownership and access are clear.

WHY IT MATTERS The company knows what it owns and where access lives.
THE PRINCIPLE A business should be able to function without everything depending on one person’s inbox, phone, or personal account.

Separation is not about making a small business complicated. It is about making sure the company has enough structure to own what it is building.

WHAT BUSINESS FOUNDATION IS NOT

Structure helps. But it does not replace professional advice.

Business Foundation is administrative, organizational, and technical support designed to help the business get its practical foundation in order. It does not replace the licensed professionals responsible for legal, tax, accounting, or other regulated advice.

01 LEGAL

Not legal advice.

We can help organize information, identify administrative steps, prepare workflows, and keep the process moving.

OUR ROLE Help organize the process and surface questions that may require legal review.
WHEN PROFESSIONAL REVIEW MAY BE NEEDED

Entity selection, ownership agreements, liability questions, contracts, governance, or other legal decisions.

02 TAX + ACCOUNTING

Not tax or accounting advice.

We can assist with EIN workflow, organize company records, and help establish the administrative systems around the business.

OUR ROLE Help make the information easier to organize, document, and hand to the right professional.
WHEN PROFESSIONAL REVIEW MAY BE NEEDED

Tax elections, deductions, payroll treatment, accounting methods, financial reporting, or filing obligations.

03 BOOKKEEPING

Not ongoing bookkeeping.

Business Foundation helps organize the company around its initial records and digital infrastructure. It is not an ongoing financial recordkeeping service.

OUR ROLE Help establish a cleaner starting point for the records and systems the business will rely on.
ONGOING WORK MAY INCLUDE

Transaction categorization, reconciliation, payroll bookkeeping, accounts payable, financial statements, or monthly books.

THE STANDARD We help the business get organized enough to move professionally.

We do that without pretending to be the attorney, CPA, accountant, tax professional, or other licensed adviser responsible for decisions outside our role.

WHEN IN DOUBT

If a question falls outside the scope of administrative, organizational, or technical assistance, we may recommend that you review it with the appropriate licensed professional before moving forward.

WHO BUSINESS FOUNDATION IS FOR

Business Foundation may be right for you if one of these sounds familiar.

You do not need to have everything figured out. You just need enough friction, confusion, or dependency that getting the foundation organized would make the next move easier.

01 STARTING OUT

I’m starting a business, but everything is still under my personal accounts.

The idea is real, but the email, records, domain, accounts, and business information have not been separated yet.

BUSINESS FOUNDATION HELPS Separate the company from the individual.
That’s me →
02 SCATTERED

I have a business, but my records, email, and domain are scattered.

The company is operating, but important assets and information live across personal inboxes, registrar accounts, downloads, and old files.

BUSINESS FOUNDATION HELPS Bring the important pieces into a clearer structure.
That’s me →
04 GROWING PAINS

I know I need to clean this up before the company grows any further.

The business has outgrown the informal setup, and you do not want future growth to depend on messy ownership, access, or documentation.

BUSINESS FOUNDATION HELPS Create a cleaner operating foundation before more gets added.

BEFORE YOU START

A few practical questions before we build the foundation.

Business Foundation is designed to make the setup process clearer, more organized, and easier to hand off into the next stage of the business.

What does the $595 Business Foundation investment include?
The Business Foundation engagement includes supported formation workflow assistance, EIN assistance, business records organization, domain foundation, and professional business email setup. Applicable government filing charges, domain fees, email service costs, software, and other third-party expenses are separate.
Are state filing fees or other third-party costs included?
No. The $595 covers Sixty8's administrative, organizational, and technical work. Government filing fees, domain registration, email subscriptions, software charges, registered-agent services, and other third-party costs are billed separately when applicable.
Does Sixty8 form the LLC or corporation for me?
Sixty8 can assist with the administrative workflow, organize the required information, help prepare the filing process, and support completion of supported online formation steps. The client remains responsible for the business decisions being made, including entity type, ownership, and other legal or tax choices that may require professional review.
Can Sixty8 help me obtain an EIN?
Yes. Business Foundation can include administrative assistance with the EIN workflow, including organizing the required information and helping complete supported filing steps. Sixty8 does not provide tax advice regarding how the business should be structured or taxed.
Who owns the domain, email, and business accounts?
The goal is for core business assets to be controlled by the business or client—not locked inside Sixty8's accounts. We may assist with setup, configuration, and management, but ownership and access should remain clearly organized around the business whenever possible.
Can an existing business use Business Foundation?
Yes. Business Foundation can also help an existing company clean up an informal setup, separate personal and business accounts, organize records, move toward business-controlled email and domains, or prepare for a new website, platform, or operational system.
Does Business Foundation include legal, tax, or accounting advice?
No. Sixty8 provides administrative, organizational, and technical assistance. Legal, tax, accounting, entity-selection, ownership, governance, and other professional decisions should be reviewed with the appropriate licensed adviser when needed.
What information will I need to provide?
Depending on the work being completed, we may need the proposed or existing business name, ownership information, contact information, business address, current domain or account details, existing records, and other information required for the supported setup workflows. We will organize the intake with you rather than expecting you to arrive with everything perfectly prepared.
How long does Business Foundation take?
Timing depends on the state, filing method, third-party processing, availability of the required information, and the exact setup being completed. Many administrative steps can move quickly, but outside agencies and providers may have their own processing timelines.
What happens after Business Foundation is complete?
Once the foundation is organized, the business is in a cleaner position to move into the next appropriate stage—such as Kickstart Start, Launch, a custom Sixty8 engagement, or simply operating with a more professional business structure until more is needed.
